Berlin, Early Autumn 2010 - I was discovering a new city, a new culture, a new life. I'd just left New York City and everything seemed exciting once again. One thing I happened to take with me was my grandfather's old Kodak Motormatic--a camera with a shutter button that made an hysterically-loud motor noise. I loved its simplicity and weird noises, but, in the end, it gave me only two pictures (including this one) before breaking. Yet, this is still one of my favorite early pictures of Berlin...looking like how I saw it that day from Görlitzer Park, with its Kodachrome-like colors and an unrealness that somehow the focus lens picked up on.
